Nothing says “Welcome Home” like $5,000 in grant funds toward the purchase of a home!

Eastman Credit Union has access to Welcome Home Grant funds through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati.  These funds are available to low- and moderate-income homebuyers and may be used to fund the down-payment and closing costs incurred in combination with the purchase of owner-occupied housing to be used as a primary residence.  The grant is currently  available   and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Below are the requirements on the grant and the income limits.

  • Homebuyer must contribute $500 of his/her own funds.  $300 of the $500 contribution can be a gift.
  • Warranty deed restrictions apply with a five year retention period.
  • Funds cannot be reserved until the borrower has a signed purchase agreement and has applied for loan.
  • Maximum $5,000 grant per household.
  • Do not have to be a first-time homebuyer; however, first-time homebuyer must complete homebuyer counseling program.
  • Other counties are eligible. Contact ECU to find out the qualifications for your area.
